Coaching is a collection of tools that, like so many others, can be so incredibly useful or turned into harmful weapons. When you can wound with the same tools that can up-level any aspect of your life, what really matters are your decisions about how you use these tools.
Inside my coach training program that I’m co-teaching with Melissa Tiers, we’ve been talking about the unspoken biases that have traditionally ruled this industry, which are now totally outdated. We’ve been exploring how to use coaching tools in the context of a violently oppressive world to work toward liberation instead, and I’m sharing my thoughts with you.
Listen in this week to hear why, without re-envisioning the way we talk about and practice coaching, we risk being completely irrelevant. You’ll hear five historical assumptions and prejudices that have long existed in this industry that need to be examined and reimagined, so we can, at the very least, reduce harm, and at best, turn coaching into a truly helpful force in the world.
The next round of the Best Fucking Coaching Course Ever Created starts September 2023. This is for brand-new coaches who have never taken coach training before, and seasoned coaches who want to radically update their skillset. Every single person who calls themselves a coach deserves the revolutionary ideas and processes we teach inside, so click here to sign up right now!
